Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

Mr. Yue (Justin) Tang is X Financial’s founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Tang is responsible for overall business strategies and operation. Before starting X Financial, Mr. Tang co-founded eLong.com, an online travel service company in China in 1999. From 2006 to 2014, Mr. Tang was the founder and managing partner of Blue Ridge China, an investment and consulting company. Mr. Tang is also currently a director of Jidiao Network (Stock Code: 832015), a company listed on China’s National Equities Exchange and Quotations. Mr. Tang received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Concordia College.

President and Director

Mr. Kan (Kent) Li joined X Financial in 2015 and has served as the Company’s President since May 2021 and Director since December 2021. Mr. Li served as the Company’s Chief Risk Officer starting from November 2017 to November 2023. Prior to serving as the Company’s Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Li served as a division director in charge of unsecured loan risk from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, he served as a Sr. manager at Capital One Financial from September 2008 to November 2015, and had served many capacities in various position, including customer acquisition, customer management, as well as collections and recoveries. Before that, he worked as a Sr. Strategy Analyst for ATB Financial, a regional bank in Canada, from May 2005 to August 2008. Mr. Li received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in economics from Southwestern University of Economics and Finance. He has published several academic papers, including a research paper in Review of Economics and Statistics (edited by Harvard University).

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Frank Fuya Zheng has served as our Chief Financial Officer since August 2020. Mr. Zheng has accumulated extensive experience in corporate finance and investment management over 15 years. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Zheng was the Chief Financial Officer of Cogo Group, Inc., a company previously listed on NASDAQ that provided customized module design solutions and manufactured electronic products in China. Mr. Zheng was also a director of the same company from 2005 to 2012. Since April 2020, Mr. Zheng was an independent director of Lianluo Smart Limited (NASDAQ: LLIT), as well as chairman of the audit committee and a member of the compensation and nomination committee. From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Zheng was an independent director of ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd. Mr. Zheng also served as an independent director of Yingde Gases Group Company (02168.HK) from 2009 to 2017. Prior to that, he was vice president at eLong, Inc., one of the leading online travel service companies in China, where he was responsible for overseeing the operations of its travel services nationwide. Mr. Zheng received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting from the City University of New York in 1994.

Chief Risk Officer

Mr. Yufan Jiang joined X Financial in 2015 and has served as the Company’s Chief Risk Officer since November 2023. Prior to that, Mr. Jiang served as the Company’s Risk Control Director. Mr. Jiang has more than 10 years of experience in personal credit risk management. Prior to joining X Financial, Mr. Jiang worked at the Bank of Communications Credit Card Center and was fully responsible for fraud risk management. Mr. Jiang graduated from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree.
